So with being cooped up inside with horrid Manchester rain outside and a locked jaw and painful wisdom teeth I thought what better way to while away an afternoon than filling you in on all the fab Manchester Vintage events that I have found out about to be taking place soon 🙂 Many events run weekly or monthly however there are a few one-off events coming soon that I thought people may want to take a peek at.

To start us off next weekend we have Stockport Antique Fair on Saturday 24th September from 10 am until 4pm. Entry costs £1.50. Stockport Town Hall  is filled with a host of antique treasures from homeware to jewelery Stockport Antique Fair is well worth a peek.

Another event to take place next weekend is the Manchester Vintage Fashion and Antique textile fair. With 130 plus stalls booked it should be a fab event which has been running for 18 years. Its situated in the centre of student ville in Fallowfield at the Armitage Centre. Its ÂŁ4 charge on the door. This is one I have not been to however looks good on the facebook link.

Next Sunday will be a busy one with The Manchester Print fair also running on the 25th Sept at the Night and Day cafe in the Northern Quarter. You can use it as an excuse to look round all the lovely vintage shops in Manchester’s Northern Quarter too 🙂

Discover Vintage ( follow them on twitter @discovervintage) are holding a Manchester event on Sunday 2nd October. Keep the date in the diary. Entry will cost £2, the location is about a mile and a half outside of the city centre. If travelling by car and you have a sat nav the post code is M13 0FE and its on Hathersage Road near the Royal Infirmary. Promises to be a fab event 🙂  Check them out at Discover Vintage.

The fab team at @Vintage_Village run a monthly vintage market at the Historic Stockport Market every second Sunday of the month. The next will be on 9th October from 10am until 4pm. I’ll see you there, I will definitely be popping down to the next one 🙂 The website is full of little gems and the great traders that are there. Although I have not actually been it from the wesbite it looks very friendly and a vintage market with a real personal feel. I love Stockport’s historic market and could not think of a better setting. See their page at Vintage Village.

Another regular vintage filled fair that is definitely worth a good nosey around is Chorlton Vintage Fair. It’s completely free and runs every Saturday from 12 – 5pm at The Beech M21 9EG. I will defiantly be taking a visit on a Saturday in the not too distant future. Altringham Vintage Market Magpies & I is relatively new and boasts an exciting mixture of vintage clothes, textiles, homeware, upcycled goods and locally vintage inspired goods. It’s a welcoming and intimate market allowing you to have a really good hunt through . At just ÂŁ1 to get in it’s a great one to while away your Sunday morning. Magpies and I runs every 3rd Sunday of the month from 10am until 2.30. Check them out at Magpies & I.

So that’s my round-up for now. Keep an eye out for Judy’s Affordable Vintage fair coming to Manchester in Autumn 2011. I’ll keep you posted on that one as they are always worth a good rummage through. Until next time when I think I will finally have my photos sorted of all my summer clothing charity shop finds. Happy vintage hunting, craft making and charity shop scouring. Maybe we’ll bump into each other at one of the great Manchester Vintage events soon.

Oh and anyone know any good Stockport boot fairs? please give me a comment and let me know…

Lots of Love
